“RUN INTO HISTORY” at the YOUTH TORCH RELAY

Walk-in Registration Welcome. Join in the 200 miles of History. 

Sodus High School Track, Route 88, Sodus, NY

This special Youth event will be on Tuesday, August 15. It offers younger runners the chance to carry a torch around the Sodus High School track and be part of history. Each runner’s lap around the track will count toward the week-long total goal of 200-miles.

• The event is family-friendly and FREE for everyone. Runners must be at least age 5 or older. Families are encouraged to bring your "runner" kids and family to come cheer on your runner(s).  A chaperone MUST attend the event with the runner(s). 
• Run T-shirts are available to purchase for $10.  Payment is due at the event by cash or Venmo.
• Runners will be scheduled into flights of similar ages to complete their choice of 1, 2 or 4 laps around the track. (1 lap = ¼ mile or 400 meters) Laps are not timed. This is not a competition for placement, just completion. 
• Each runner will be announced before their flight, will receive a runners’ bib and an honorary medal. They will pose for a quick post-run photo with the torch after they complete their lap(s). 
• History Walk for families onsite and Bounce equipment. Concessions provided by Sodus Sports Boosters.  

COUNTYWIDE TORCH RELAY
